The area’s 2,000 residents are relatively low-key as evidenced by the simple homes in the community.<span> </span>However, Kahuku is becoming a tourist attraction in its own right thanks to a number of dining trucks along the Kamehameha Highway that offer freshly caught shrimp and other seafood and attractive prices.<span> </span>The shrimp stands that have quickly become a phenomenon typically specialize in a special preparation of the marine delicacy. </span></p>
